Start preparing your international experience

Congratulations! You have been selected to take part in an international mobility programme. A new stage now begins: preparing all the academic and administrative procedures before you leave so that your stay runs smoothly. The International Mobility Office will accompany you throughout the process, from your nomination to the academic recognition of the studies completed abroad.

Before you leave

Good planning is key to making your international experience a success. Before starting your mobility you will need to complete several administrative and academic procedures. It is important to respect the deadlines set by both Euncet and the host university.

Once you have accepted your place, Euncet will officially communicate your nomination to the host university.

Each university has its own admission process. It is very important to review the deadlines and requirements of the host university.

Learning Agreement

Learning Agreement

Before starting your mobility you will need to formalise the Learning Agreement, the document that sets out the subjects you will take during your stay and their subsequent academic recognition.

Visa

Visa

If your destination is outside the European Union or your country of residence, you may need to apply for a student visa. We recommend starting this procedure well in advance, as deadlines may vary by country.

Insurance

Insurance

Before leaving, it is essential to have adequate medical cover throughout your stay. If you do not have private medical insurance, you can take it out here.

Accommodation

Accommodation

It is advisable to start looking for accommodation as soon as possible. 

  • University residences. 
  • Shared flats. 
  • Host programmes. 
  • Resources and platforms to make the search easier.

During your stay

Once you arrive at the host university, it is important to keep in touch with the International Mobility Office. During this period you may need:

  • CERTIFY YOUR ENROLMENT — The mobility office of your host university must certify your enrolment at their university. This document must be signed and stamped by the host university.
  • AMEND THE LEARNING AGREEMENT — If there are changes in the subjects you are enrolled in, you will need to process an amendment to the Learning Agreement within the established deadlines.
  • REQUEST SUPPORT — If you have any academic or administrative issue during your mobility, the International Mobility team will help you find the best solution.

Before you return

Once all the documentation has been received, Euncet will start the process of recognising the credits completed during your mobility. For this process to be carried out correctly, it is essential that:

  • The Learning Agreement is correctly validated.
  • The amendments have been authorised.
  • The Transcript of Records is official.

Once the process is complete, the subjects you have passed will be added to your academic record.
