Internal Quality Assurance System – IQAS
The Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) of Euncet Business School provides the framework that structures and regulates how the institution plans, develops, evaluates, and continuously improves all activities related to teaching, learning, and student support services. Its purpose is to ensure that official degree programs and academic activities are carried out in accordance with the defined learning objectives, current regulations, and university quality standards.
The IQAS applies to all official degree programs offered by Euncet Business School, as well as to academic and management processes that directly or indirectly impact the quality of the teaching-learning process, including both teaching activities and student support services.
The system aligns with the criteria of AQU Catalunya, the framework for verification, monitoring, modification, and accreditation of degree programs, the AUDIT program, and the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG), all in coherence with the quality model of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), to which Euncet Business School is affiliated.
Purpose of the IQAS
The purpose of the IQAS is to ensure the quality and continuous improvement of degree programs and the academic and management processes that support them. In this regard, the system allows:
- Ensuring the systematic design, implementation, and review of degree programs.
- Monitoring academic results and student progress.
- Analyzing the achievement of learning outcomes and the satisfaction of different stakeholders.
Based on this evidence analysis, the IQAS facilitates the identification of strengths and areas for improvement, as well as the definition of actions aimed at enhancing the quality of teaching, learning, and associated services.
Structure, Governance, and Functioning of the IQAS
The IQAS is based on a clear, documented structure that ensures traceability of decisions and actions. This structure is organized through:
- A quality policy and objectives approved by the corresponding governing bodies.
- A process map identifying strategic, key, and support processes.
- Defined procedures establishing responsibilities, actions, and evidence.
The system’s governance ensures the participation of various stakeholders. Collegiate bodies and responsible units analyze results, review the quality policy, and validate improvement actions.
Participation from students, faculty, administrative and service staff, alumni, and the professional environment is channeled through surveys, reports, representative bodies, and other feedback mechanisms, ensuring a plural and shared vision of quality.
Review and Continuous Improvement of the System
The IQAS is periodically reviewed to evaluate its effectiveness, detect potential deviations, and adapt to regulatory, institutional, or strategic changes. This process helps reinforce the culture of quality at Euncet Business School.
The conclusions from these reviews are documented and, when appropriate, result in improvement plans with assigned responsibilities, deadlines, and defined monitoring mechanisms.
Transparency and Accountability
Euncet Business School approaches quality as an exercise of institutional responsibility and transparency. Therefore, the IQAS incorporates public information and accountability mechanisms that make relevant information about degree programs and achieved results available to the university community and society.
This commitment strengthens confidence in Euncet Business School’s academic project and consolidates its commitment to solid, accreditable, and continuously improving university quality.
