From 15 to 19 September 2025, Barcelona hosted a new learning experience on business innovation with the celebration of the Academic Week of the Master’s in Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Family Business, promoted by Euncet Business School and CEDEM – Centro de Dueñez. An intensive programme that combines academic learning, immersive experiences and visits to leading companies, with the aim of providing a transformative vision to the future leaders of family organisations.

Experiential and practice-oriented learning

The week was designed with an experiential approach, alternating lectures from international experts, visits to innovative companies and group dynamics. The goal is for participants not only to acquire knowledge, but also to live it, experience it and transfer it to their own business reality.

The sessions focus on key topics for the future of family business, such as humanistic management, digital culture and business ethics, cybersecurity, the relationship between art, media and technology, and the impact of artificial intelligence on the creation of new business models. Renowned speakers such as Xavier Marcet, Albert Cuesta, Genís Margarit, Jordi Sellas and Aleix Valls shared knowledge, experience and innovative perspectives.

Connection with Barcelona’s business ecosystem

One of the pillars of the Academic Week is immersion in Barcelona’s economic and cultural ecosystem. Participants had the opportunity to visit top-level companies such as Natura Bissé, Moventia, Avinent, GFT Digital Innovation Lab, Pier01 or Bodegas Torres, as well as discover emblematic innovation spaces such as Ca l’Alier or the 22@ district.

These experiences allowed them to understand first-hand how leading organisations combine tradition and innovation to remain competitive in a global environment.

A cultural and networking experience

The Academic Week is not only a space for learning, but also for exchange and connection. Activities such as the Masterchef team cooking competition at Mirador Can Cases or the night visit to Casa Batlló with the “Magic Nights” concert added a cultural and networking component that further enriched the experience.

These social activities created an ideal environment for participants to expand their network of contacts and strengthen ties with other professionals and business leaders.

A step forward for the family business

At Euncet Business School we are aware that this week is a unique opportunity to bring future executives closer to the latest trends in management and innovation, all within an international setting such as Barcelona.

The collaboration with CEDEM reinforces the shared commitment to developing managerial skills that enable family business leaders to anticipate future challenges and create sustainable value.

The Academic Week of the Master’s in Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Family Business is, without doubt, a transformative experience that unites knowledge, practice and culture, reaffirming Euncet Business School’s commitment to high-quality executive education and innovation as the driving force of business development.
