Industrial Operations, Digital Twins and Simulation Course
PREMIUM LINE EXECUTIVE COURSES
What will you learn about Industrial Operations, Digital Twins and Simulation?
The course combines theory and practice in just 12 hours. Each session takes a step further: you start with the simulation, you arrive at the digital twin and you end up building your own model. Attendees work with success stories and practical exercises from day one.
Participants will learn how to:
SIMULATE BEFORE DECIDING
Understand the fundamentals of operations research and discrete event simulation, and how they apply to the Industrial Simulation: test scenarios in a virtual model before making changes to the plant or logistics center. They will also learn a methodology of Process Modeling to build well-structured models.
FROM SIMULATOR TO DIGITAL TWIN
Discover what the Digital twin in Industry 4.0: its origins, its types, the enabling technologies that make it possible and its IT architecture. From examples of digital twins and success stories, will see how this technology evolves computer simulation and is applied in industrial processes.
PRACTICE WITH ANYLOGIC
Make the leap into practice with AnyLogic, a simulation software that is free to use for training purposes. They will learn about its interface and its basic modelling functionalities, and will develop their own models through practical exercises.
INDIVIDUAL 3D SIMULATION PROJECT
Close the course with your own 3D modeling and simulation project applied to a process. It will be a starting point to analyze and propose the optimization of industrial processes in their own professional environment.
FAQS
Industrial Operations, Digital Twins and Simulation Course
A digital twin is a virtual replica of a process, a product or an installation that is fed with real data to analyse its behaviour and test scenarios without intervening in the physical system. It emerged as an evolution of computer simulation and is one of the main technologies of Industry 4.0.
It is aimed at managers, area managers and technical professionals from industrial companies, logistics centres and supply chains who want to apply simulation and digital twins to analyse processes and support digital transformation projects. It is particularly suitable for those responsible for production, operations management, engineering, logistics and continuous improvement, as well as for those involved in the design, optimisation or digitalisation of processes.
Computer simulation creates a model to analyze how a process behaves in different scenarios. The digital twin goes a step further: it keeps that model connected to data from the real system. That's why the course starts with the simulation and then moves on to the digital twin.
Participants get to know the interface and basic functionalities of AnyLogic, develop models through practical exercises and end up creating an individual 3D modeling and simulation project. For this purpose, the free license is used for training purposes.
This digital twin course combines theory, case studies and practice with software, and closes with an individual project. It provides an understanding of how simulation and the digital twin are applied in industry, and provides a foundation for leading digital transformation projects in factories, logistics centres and supply chains.
