Seminar "kinesiology I biomechanics: physics applied to body movement".

Seminar on kinesiology

Biomechanics and kinesiology are two fields of science that have advanced by leaps and bounds in recent decades thanks to their multiple applications, particularly in the field of sports.

The seminar "Kinesiology and biomechanics: physics applied to body movement" will not only give students the opportunity to understand, through practical and surprising examples, that the human body is a set of levers, axes of rotation and forces that respond to the law of physics, but will also show them possible career opportunities related to biomechanics and kinesiology and how the degree in CTEF can help them to train in the field of science, management and health in the world of sport.

DURATION

This seminar has an hour of duration

PLACE

It can be given at your centre or at our facilities located in Terrassa, or in online format through Zoom.

AIMED AT

This seminar is aimed to students in the second year of the bachelor and CFGS.

PRICE

There is no cost for participants.

OBJECTIVES OF THE SEMINAR

  • Know how the body works, levers, axes of rotation, moment of force…
  • To understand the body as a unit where everything is related, to see very surprising and impressive practical examples for the participants (to improve the natural flexion of the spine, trunk flexion, general mobility using "tricks" that will leave the students speechless).
  • Relate the science that studies the movement of the human body to the CTEF degree (commenting on aspects that we will develop over 4 years).
  • To understand that the body is a set of levers, axes of rotation and forces that correspond to the laws of physics.
  • To put into practice and understand the biomechanical functioning of our body.
  • To discover some of the wonders of our organism and how everything is related to each other, explaining, and demonstrating some practical examples related to the diaphragm.
  • Expose and comment on the possible career opportunities related to science, biomechanics, physiology and kinesiology.

CONTENTS OF THE ORIENTATION SEMINAR

  • Basic concepts of physics and movement that we can apply to the human body and that derive in biomechanics.
  • Identify the different natural levers we have in the body and see how they work.
  • Practice exercises, movements and surprising "tricks" that will help us to understand how the physics of our body works: biomechanics and kinesiology.
  • To discover some of the wonders of our organism and how everything is related to each other, explaining, and demonstrating some practical examples related to the diaphragm.
  • Expose and comment on the possible career opportunities related to science, biomechanics, physiology and kinesiology.
