Euncet Business School and the University of Miami collaborate on an executive program
The training has brought together 40 Latin American business leaders at the Miami Herbert Business School for 5 days focused on the latest trends in the business world

Euncet Business School continues to weave ties with other international academic institutions. On this occasion, the business school from Barcelona (Spain) has collaborated with the University of Miami (UM) in an executive program in Spanish designed to address the challenges presented by the latest trends in the business world. The training has been developed by the Miami Herbert Business School (officially University of Miami Patti and Allan Herbert Business School), a private business school founded in 1929 as one of the 12 schools or colleges of the UM, and is framed within the Executive Master in Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Family Business, taught by Euncet together with CEDEM (Centro de Dueñez Empresaria).
The training, which was held at the centre for 5 days last April, brought together 40 Latin American business leaders with the aim of offering them both theoretical sessions and practical activities that revolved around global business strategy, leadership and innovation. In the words of Suzy Alvarez-Diaz, assistant professor in the Miami Herbert Business School’s Management Department, the objective of this type of course is "creating programs tailored to our clients, addressing their specific needs".
In addition, during these five days the participants had the opportunity to visit the headquarters of different companies, such as the emblematic clothing firm Perry Ellis or the retail vehicle chain Ocean Cadillac. As indicated by the Miami Herbert Business School, "these immersive experiences allowed the executives to observe best practices in action and engage with industry leaders, making the program’s learning both practical and impactful”.
The participants also had the opportunity to learn about the culture of Miami and underlined the updated course contents. This is the case of Gabriella Sanchez, treasurer of the Dportens Group in Mexico, who has stated that "in the classes we have learned different skills that I think will help us do things better when we return home ". "It’s five days that are absolutely worth it," said Roberto Becerra, vice president of the Alert Group.
As the American institution itself points out, Miami Herbert Business School is located in a global hub dedicated to international business and is widely recognised for "its leadership in the global perspective, its student and faculty diversity, and its commitment to the business community." It is also positioned as the third best centre in the United States to study an executive education program, according to the Financial Times Executive Education ranking, as well as the fifth best in all of America.
For the Catalan institution, this collaboration is an opportunity to continue establishing academic relationships on an international scale, as it has done in the past with other globally renowned Latin American business schools.
It should be remembered that the Euncet Business School, founded in 1981 and attached to the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) since 1996, currently has three university campuses (the Campus Terrassa, the Campus Barcelona 22@ and the Campus Barcelona Can Dragó) where it teaches bachelor’s degrees, master's degrees, Executive Education programs, tailor-made In Company training and other courses of specialisation in person and online.
